An evening of music and comedy is being held at the Hanover pub on Saturday 23 November, in aid of the 50 people who lost their homes and belongings in the fire at the top of Pankhurst Avenue in September.
The Music and Comedy for Pankhurst gig has been organised by Hanover and Elm Grove councillor Elaine Hills, one of the three Green councillors representing Pankhurst Avenue residents.
She said: “This is a great opportunity to enjoy some great music and comedy while raising money for people who have lost everything. I chose the Hanover as the venue as it’s at the bottom of Pankhurst Avenue, so it gives Pankhurst residents a chance to come together and show support for their neighbours while enjoying a great night out.”
The line up includes singer-songwriter Anna Page, comedian Phil Jerrod, singer-songwriter Crawford Marshall and guitarist and singer Mike Newsham
Entrance to the event, which starts at 7pm, will be free, with money raised through donations on the night and a raffle.
