Family cat's Christmas reunion after 70-mile trip to Brighton
A family moggie has returned home after being discovered in Brighton – 70 miles away from its home in Isleworth in south west London.
The Richmond and Twickenham Times reports how Julia Romp’s 10-year-old black and white cat Ben went missing on September 21.
Ms Romp campaigned so hard to find him, producing 4,000 leaflets, she even received a warning from Hounslow Council.
But on December 21, she was called by a Brighton family who were able to track her down thanks to his microchip implant.
Ms Romp then braved the icy roads to get Ben home. She told the Times: “I got there and they had 10 inches of snow and the family lived up a hill.
“The lady who found him said: ‘I am sure he came for a mini break to be by the sea.'”
