Two more arrests made in Whitehawk New Year's Day plunge case

Two more arrests have been made by detectives investigating how a man fell from a fourth storey window in Whitehawk on New Year’s Day.

Scott Green, 25, is still in a critical condition at Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre in Haywards Heath following the suspected attack in Chadborn Close on the Bristol Estate, Brighton.

A 27-year-old man from Hurstpierpoint and a 24-year-old man from Lewes were arrested yesterday (Wednesday 5 January) on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They have been bailed until Tuesday 1 February and Tuesday 8 February respectively.

Three men aged 23, 26 and 32 and two women aged 22 and 23, all from Brighton, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm on Saturday 1 January.

They have been released on bail until Sunday 30 January and Tuesday 1 February pending further inquiries.

Yesterday Sussex Police officers visited the flat below the one the man is believed to have fallen from.
