Hove off-licence raiders foiled

Two men who attempted to rob the Quaff Wine shop in Portland Road, Hove, are being sought by police.

At about 6.30pm on Monday (7 February) a member of staff, who was standing outside the shop, was pushed inside by the two men who then demanded money.

However, they left empty-handed.

The first man was black, aged 18 to 20 years old, 5ft 7in tall, of thin, wiry build and with a moustache.

He was wearing a black zip-up top and dark jeans.

The second man was black, aged 20 to 22 years old, 5ft 10in to 6ft 1in tall and of big build.

He was wearing a grey zip-up top and sporty type trousers.

Sussex Police urged any witnesses to contact the force on 0845 6070999 or to call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
