Two Brighton men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man from Portslade who has been missing since January.
The pair, a 60-year-old man, of no fixed address, and a 57-year-old man, face questions about the disappearance of Gary Hampson.
Last month Sussex Police issued an appeal for help in tracing former mechanic Dan Alexander, 60, of no fixed address, and Roy Bartup, 57, of Natal Road, Brighton.
Detectives said that the two men may hold vital information about the disappearance of Gary Hampson, 42, of Old Shoreham Road, Portslade.
Mr Hampson has not been seen since dropping his ten-year-old daughter home after school on Thursday 6 January.
A significant quantity of his blood was found at Kop Cars Body Shop, the garage where he worked in Little Western Street, Brighton, by the border with Hove.
A 25-year-old man from Brighton was arrested in Parham Close, Brighton, this morning (Monday 9 May) along with the 60-year-old.
The younger man is suspected of harbouring an offender. Both men are in police custody awaiting interview by detectives.
The 57-year-old was arrested on Saturday (7 May) and brought to Brighton for questioning. He has been released on police bail until Wednesday 25 May while further inquiries are carried out.
A 48-year-old Brighton man was arrested on suspicion of murder a month ago. He has been released on police bail until Wednesday (11 May).
Mr Hampson was described as a devoted father and concerns grew about his disappearance because he had always stayed in close contact with his daughter.
