Detectives have charged a man with armed robbery after a hold-up at a Hove travel agency.
Luis Cristo, 20, of Lomley House, Tulse Hill, London, was arrested as he boarded a flight at Gatwick airport yesterday (Monday 31 December).
He is suspected of being the man who threatened staff at Thomas Cook in Church Road, Hove, with what looked like a handgun on Friday (28 December).
Cristo has been charged with four counts of armed robbery and four firearms offences after a joint investigation by Sussex Police officers in Kent.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Wednesday 2 January).
