A man from Brighton and Hove was stabbed during a night out at the weekend.
The victim, who is in his thirties, was attacked on Brighton seafront by four men between 3.45am and 4am on Saturday (1 June).
He suffered cuts and bruising to his face and head and three stab wounds to his body which needed hospital treatment after the attack in King’s Road, Brighton.
Three men from London, aged 23, 27 and 32, have been arrested in connection with the attack.
They were held on suspicion of wounding with intent and affray. Sussex Police said that they had been bailed until Monday 1 July.
A fourth man is being sought. He was described as a 5ft 10in tall black man, of medium build and aged in his twenties. He was wearing a baseball cap, white t-shirt and black jacket.
Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “This was a nasty assault and I would appeal to those who were in the area, and there were a number of people, to come forward to help us in our inquiry and help us identify and trace the fourth man.”
