Three men stole a music deck and mixer in a robbery at a flat in Hove.
They threatened the man in the flat, in Seafield Road, with a hammer before stealing equipment worth more than £2,000.
Sussex Police urged anyone who had seen or been offered the deck or mixer to tell detectives.
The force said today (Monday 3 March): “Police in Brighton and Hove are asking if local people have been offered some distinctive electronic items stolen in a recent robbery.
“At about 11am on Tuesday 11 February three men went to a flat in Seafield Road, Hove, threatened the occupier with a hammer and stole electrical items.
“Photos published show a black Pioneer DTM800 Mixer and a white Pioneer CDJ2000 player. Two of these players were stolen.
One was 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short light brown hair. He was wearing a hat.
The second was 5ft 10in tall, of larger build, with brown eyes and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue v-neck jumper.
The third was 5ft 11in tall and skinny. He concealed his face with a white scarf and was wearing a black body warmer jacket.
Detective Constable Tom Coll said: “If you saw these men or if you have been offered these items since mid February, we would like to hear from you.”
