A 63-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting three girls and a woman on Brighton buses.

Kamal Hanna, of Cliff Avenue, Peacehaven, has also been charged with three counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words.

Sussex Police said that on Monday 28 July last year a 15-year-old girl was on a number 2 bus when a man got on in North Street, sat next to her and stroked her leg.

The next day a 12-year-old girl was travelling on a number 27 bus from Saltdean when a man sat next to her and touched her leg twice.

On the same day a 13-year old girl was travelling on a number 12 bus from Peacehaven when a man sat next to her and stroked her leg.

And on Saturday 9 August a 19-year-old woman was travelling towards Newhaven when a man put his hand on her leg.

Hanna is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22 January.

Surely you can’t have comments on a report about alleged crimes, with a court case pending if it goes to trial?
