Albion are level at 1-1 with Forest despite taking the lead through Lewis Dunk after 42 minutes.
Just two minutes later Joao Teixeira gave away a free kick and, with David Stockdale hopelessly flatfooted, Danny Collins equalised for Forest via a post.
Forest had had few chances before their goal.
Danny Holla hit the bar for Albion from a free kick on 39 minutes and Gordon Greer steered a good chance wide with his head from a corner.
