Two men from Brighton have been charged as part of the annual Christmas crackdown on drink and drug driving by Sussex Police.
Aaron MacDonald, 43, was arrested on Wednesday 31 December after officers found him slumped over the wheel of his car at 6.30am in Marine Parade, Brighton.
MacDonald, of Clarendon Villas, Hove, has now been charged with being in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drugs.
He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 2 April.
David Fishwick, 47, was arrested at 2pm on Tuesday 23 December after officers stopped his car because they were concerned about his driving.
Fishwick, of Western Concourse, Brighton Marina Village, has now been charged with drug-driving and driving without insurance.
He was also released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 2 April.
A total of 130 people have so far been charged with offences as part of the December campaign, known as Operation Dragonfly.
