Police are making a fresh appeal for witnesses after two more high value 4×4 cars were stolen from outside homes in Brighton and Hove.
Between 23 January and 30 April eight Range Rovers were stolen after they were left parked on driveways or outside the addresses of their owners.
A ninth was stolen from the driveway of a home in Shirley Drive, Hove, between 7pm on Saturday 2 May and 10am the next day. It has not been recovered.
A tenth was stolen from the driveway of a home in Green Ridge, Brighton, between 9.30pm and 10pm on Thursday 7 May.
The vehicle was later found in Old Patcham Mews, Patcham, and recovered. A 33-year-old man from Eastbourne has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of theft and released on bail until 15 June while officers carry out further inquiries.
It is still not clear how the vehicles have been stolen as the offenders have not broken into homes to get access to the keys.
Overall five of the vehicles have been recovered but the other five are still missing.
Detective Inspector Julie Wakeford said: “We urgently need residents to keep an eye open for people acting suspiciously in their area – especially if they live near people who own Range Rovers.
“We believe the thieves must have visited the roads where they took the cars from on previous occasions so someone may have seen them driving around.
“If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your area, please call us.
“I would also again urge Range Rover drivers to be particularly vigilant, to consider the security of their vehicles and to contact us if they have any suspicions at all about people near their property.”
Four men from Brighton aged 27, 28, 31 and 49 who have been arrested previously on suspicion of theft remain on bail until 26 May.
