Albion drew with Ryman League Lewes in a rather uninspiring pre-season friendly at the Dripping Pan.

Chris Hughton included new signings goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa and Liam Rosenior in his starting line-up.

Albion’s best chances fell to youngster James Tilley and Chris O’Grady.

Albion fielded a team made up of under-18 and under-21 players in the second half.

Casper Ankergren kept goal for Albion in the second 45 minutes.

Seldom-used winger Jeffrey Monakana who spent most of last season loaned out at Aberdeen looked useful for Albion in attack.

Albion now face Crawley on Wednesday (22 July) then Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday 26 July as their pre-season friendly campaign continues.
