Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey has joined MK Dons on loan for the rest of the season.
The England under-21 international spent a month on loan with the Championship club in September and October and he is available to play in their FA Cup third round tie at Northampton Town tomorrow (Saturday 9 January).
The 21-year-old midfielder won’t be eligible to play against Albion when the two sides meet at Stadium MK on Saturday 19 March.
Albion manager Chris Hughton said: “With the form of Dale Stephens and Beram Kayal in midfield, Jake has found it very difficult to get the number of games he would want.
“On the back of a very successful loan period with MK Dons earlier in the season, that opportunity has arisen again and we felt it would be an ideal move for all parties involved.
“Jake played very regularly when he was there previously, and that is something he is keen to do, and the loan gives us an opportunity to watch and evaluate his progress while he is there.”
Forster-Caskey made his Albion first-team debut at the end of the 2009-10 season aged just 16 – at the time becoming the club’s youngest-ever player – going on to make 82 appearances in total and scoring nine times.
He has also represented England at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-20 and under-21 levels.
