A group of community gardeners will offer love potion soup at an event for Valentine’s Day this afternoon (Sunday 14 February).
The “Love Your Garden” event is taking place at the Bevendean Community Garden, off Heath Hill Avenue, Brighton, between 1pm and 3pm.
The organisers said that if it rained they would gather in the Community Hall, in Norwich Drive.
They said that the Love Your Garden event was for adults and children, adding: “Try some love potion soup. Plant a flower seed to start in a windowsill. Decorate a cupcake with a spring theme. It must be coming!”
Last week (Sunday 7 February) some of the members and volunteers went to Seedy Sunday, Britain’s biggest and longest-running community seed swap event. It takes place each year at the Corn Exchange, Brighton.
