Police car crashes on 999 call in Hove
A police car crashed while officers were responding to a 999 call in Hove this morning.
No one was injured, Sussex Police said, but the A270 Old Shoreham Road was closed for an hour at the traffic lights at The Drive and Shirley Drive.
The force said: “Emergency services were called to Old Shoreham Road, Hove, at around 9.25am on Thursday (30 June) following a collision between two vehicles, one of which was a marked Sussex Police patrol car on an emergency call.
“The road was closed near the junction with The Drive for recovery work and reopened at around 10.25am.
“There were no injuries reported.
“Police are currently investigating the cause of the collision.”
