A sex attacker has struck twice in a week in a suburb of Brighton, Sussex Police said.
The force has issued a public appeal for witnesses or information to help detectives trace the tall skinny man who targeted two teenagers a few streets apart.
In a statement Sussex Police said: “Police are investigating after a woman was grabbed by a man in Hollingbury, Brighton, and kissed on the mouth.
“It happened at around 10.25pm on Wednesday 17 August when the 19-year-old victim was stood at the bus stop in Carden Avenue.
“She managed to push the man away before he ran off down Carden Hill.
“The suspect is described as 5ft 11in, of skinny build and wearing a dark hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.”
Detective Inspector Clare Shiel said: “This comes following a separate incident reported to us on Monday 22 August where an 18-year-old woman told officers she was grabbed around the waist by a man and touched over her clothes as she walked in Portfield Avenue. She screamed and the suspect ran off.
“We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious relating to either of these incidents.”
Witnesses are asked to phone Sussex Police on 101, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
