Sussex Police officers are investigating three reports of sexual assaults by touching in Brighton and Hove over a 24-hour period.
The force said: “Officers believe the three incidents are linked. In the first one a man on a bike cycled past a woman in Portland Place, Brighton at 6.30pm on Tuesday 3 January and smacked her bottom.
“Later that evening a woman out jogging in Somerhill Road, Hove, was approached by a man on a bike who grabbed her arm and bottom at about 9pm.
“And the following day on Wednesday 4 January, a man on a bike slowed down and cycled alongside a woman cyclist and slapped her thigh in Madeira Drive, Brighton, at about 6.20pm.
“The suspect is white, in his early 20s, 5ft 10in, of stocky build and wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up and has a red and white bike.”
PC James Cowen said: “We are linking these reports as the suspect was on a bike each time and they happened within 24 hours of each other.
“The victims weren’t physically hurt but were shaken up.
