Albion cruised to victory against lowly Rotherham with second-half goals from Anthony Knockaert and Solly March.
The result maintains the six-point gap between the Seagulls and third-placed Huddersfield Town. They beat Aston Villa.
David Stockdale made a series of good saves in the first half as Albion looked to overcome back to back defeats.
Near the end of the half Richie Towell, on as a substitute, almost scored his first league goal for Albion but missed the target when clean through.
In the late kick off Newcastle United were held to a goalless draw at Reading.
