Brighton & Hove Albion 2 Derby County 0

Albion lead Derby by two goals to nil at the break.

A superb strike after just five minutes by Anthony Knockaert put Albion in command after a through ball from skipper Bruno Saltor.

Dale Stephens and Knockaert have linked up well throughout the first half.

Albion’s second goal came after a prolonged period of Seagulls possession. After a one-two with Glenn Murray, Sam Baldock steered the ball home to double the Seagulls’ advantage.

The visitors have not really threatened and their former England goalkeeper Scott Carson has looked nervous when collecting high balls.
