Firefighters from Brighton tackled two blazes yesterday (Monday 10 July).
The first callout was to a roof fire Kemp Town at about 2.40pm, while the second was in the Withdean area of Brighton last night.
The fire service said: “East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service mobilised three appliances to a fire in Brighton.
“At 2.41pm appliances from Roedean and Brighton were sent to St George’s Road, in Kemp Town, Brighton, including the aerial ladder platform.
“Crews tackled a fire on a roof using one hose reel jet and one main jet and a home safety visit was undertaken at the property.
“At 10.50pm yesterday Brighton firefighters were sent to Peacocks Lane, Withdean, due to a fire in the open where a park bench was on fire.
“The crew used one hose reel jet to tackle the fire.”
