Police have issued a public appeal to find a missing man from Portslade who officers believe may be sleeping rough.
Sussex Police said this evening (Friday 28 July): “Police are very concerned for the safety and welfare of Mark Cawfield, 43, who has not been heard from since Wednesday (26 July).
“It is thought that Mark, who was seen at work in Sompting on Tuesday, may be sleeping rough in a tent but it is not known where.
“He does not have a fixed address but stays at various locations in the Portslade and Hove areas.
“He is white, 5ft 5in, of medium build with shaved blond/ginger hair, moustache and beard.
“He usually wears jeans, a hooded jacket and T-shirt.
“Police have asked for people to keep a lookout for a tent that has appeared in the last few days or if you know of Mark’s whereabouts, please email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 1199 of 26/07.
“If you see him, please dial 999 immediately.”
