The coolest picks of donations to Martlets charity shops are being collected in a new store in Western Road opening this Friday.
The new shop, opposite Argos, will specialise in what Martlets describes as “quirky, on-trend pieces which reflect the city’s unique vibe”, including clothes, accessories, vinyl and CDs, books, homeware, and “eclectic” furniture.
Shoppers will be encouraged to take selfies of themselves sporting new outfits and posting them on social media using the hashtag #FoundInMartlets.
Ian Hart, head of trading at Martlets said: “We’re really proud of our new shop. It’s got a fantastic look, with a sense of playful laid-back cool that I’m sure will be popular here in Brighton.
“The income we receive from our shops is vital to Martlets in helping us to provide the very best care and support for our patients and their families.
“We’re currently looking for volunteers who have a passion for fashion and can help our customers in perfecting their ultimate outfit.
“Volunteering also looks great on your CV so, if you’re thinking about following a career in retail, fashion or styling, then this would be a fantastic opportunity for you to gain vital work experience.”
