Brighton police arrest man suspected of stabbing 21-year-old in back
Police in Brighton have arrested a man suspected of stabbing a 21-year-old in the back.
Sussex Police had been hunting for 20-year-old Andrew Prince, from Eastbourne, when they located him in Brighton.
Prince, 20, from Eastbourne, has been arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and assault by beating.
Sussex Police said: “At about 5.40pm on Monday 30 October police were alerted to a man who had been stabbed in Lushington Lane, Eastbourne.
“The 21-year-old local victim sustained serious but not life-threatening wounds to his back and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, for treatment.
“He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (3 March) after being arrested in Brighton on Friday (2 March).
“He has been remanded to appear at court again on a date yet to be set.”
