Police investigating an incident in Warren Road, Woodingdean, on Thursday (15 March) in which two men were attacked, have arrested and charged a man in connection with the case.
Christopher Winnan, 29, unemployed, of Birdham Road, Brighton, appeared at Brighton Magistrate’s Court on Friday (23 March) charged with causing grievous bodily harm to one man and with assault by beating of the other man. He was given court bail and is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 19 April.
The 26-year-old victim of the GBH sustained serious head injuries in the attack, which started outside the Co-Op, but has since been discharged from hospital.
The other man, also aged 26, sustained minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment.
