Let’s build a planet – The Incredible Rebel All-Stars. Brighton Spiegeltent: Bosco 5, 12, 19, 26 May

A black and white striped duo The Incredible Rebel All Stars bound onto the stage at midday to offer an accessible and colourful youthful look at what we’re doing to our environment. Good music and some great sound effects help to move this show along ‘Something has gone wrong with the earth so we better build a new one!’ Imagine designing your own planet, what on earth would it look like?

Lots of audience participation here from ages 3 and above to get involved with the theme of the show and help build a new world through series of quiz events hosted by ‘Legs Dennis’ including ‘Famine or Fortune’ and asking important questions like ‘What should farts smell like on the new planet?’ and things we do like that we want to be on the new planet? – Sweets of course, closely followed by unicorns.

One for all the family, this is an immersive comedy, suitable for ages 3-3000. Join a madcap team of World Builders on a hilarious, big-banging adventure. Escape from the sinister Robot-Cops, get lost in an alien forest and bring new light to the universe.

Utilising a mix of physical mime, puppetry, dance and comedy, it could perhaps have benefited from more time in development as at times it lacked substance, but a good starting point for the next generation of eco worriers nonetheless. If you like extra-terrestrials, robots, a chase scene and lots of possibility for joining in, then this show is for you!
