Woman pedestrian, 90, hurt in seafront car crash in Brighton
A 90-year-old woman pedestrian was injured in a car crash on Brighton seafront, Sussex Police said this afternoon.
The force said: “Police investigating a collision between a 90-year-old woman pedestrian and a car at the junction of the A259 Grand Junction Road and Black Lion Street in Brighton at approximately 1pm on Monday (3 September) are asking for anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
“The pedestrian, from South Croydon, sustained head, wrist and shoulder injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
“She has since been allowed to return home.
“The car involved, a blue Hyundai Matiz, was driven by a 51-year-old man from Portslade, who was unhurt.
“Any witnesses are asked to contact police online or phone 101, quoting serial 663 of 03/09.”
