Georgia Lewis returns to Brighton Acoustic Club

Georgia Lewis

Former BIMM student Georgia Lewis returns to the Brighton Acoustic Club tomorrow (Monday 1 April).

The singer and multi-instrumentalist first played at the monthly acoustic session five years ago.

She has since released her debut album, The Bird Who Sings Freedom, which was recorded in the kitchen of her parents’ home in Wiltshire.

The tracks include traditional songs alongside two originals, a poem by AE Housman and a setting of lines from Maya Angelou as the opening number.

The Brighton Acoustic Club session is from 8pm to 11pm at the Lord Nelson, in Trafalgar Street, Brighton.

Admission is free, with donations encouraged. There is no sound system and contributions from the floor can be expected.
