UPDATE Billy Eyre was reported to have been found.
A man from Hove has been missing since just before the end of last year.
The disappearance of Billy Eyre has prompted Sussex Police to ask the public for help finding him.
The force said that Mr Eyre also has links to Brighton and may even have to travelled to Worthing since he vanished eight days ago.
Police said: “Have you seen missing 29-year-old Billy Eyre?
“Billy was last seen in Hove at around 1.15pm on Thursday 30 December and there is growing concern for his welfare.
“He is known to have links to the Brighton area, but may also have travelled to Worthing.
“Billy is 6ft tall and of stocky build. It is not known what clothing he is wearing.
“Anyone who sees him or who knows where he is, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 636 of 30/12.”
