Dog behind string of city centre attacks to be destroyed

A homeless man has been charged with shoplifting thousands of pounds worth of goods from two Co Ops in Brighton.

Christopher Coffey, 27, is accused of stealing almost £1,400 worth of goods including meat, cheese, Kit Kats, Haagen Dazs ice cream and Fairy Scent Boosters from branches of the supermarket in London Road and Dyke Road in Brighton.

He is also said to have stolen £272.93 worth of supplements from Holland and Barrett in Western Road, Brighton on 12 October 2025.

Today, Sussex Police announced he had been charged with 15 shoplifting offences dating from July to October and had appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court on 17 November.

He had been arrested two days earlier on Saturday, 15 November, and charged the same day.

He will next appear in court on 12 December.

The same nasty piece of work with the out of control dog. Send him for a long walk off the end of the pier

That’s him-but that Dog is being Distroyed soon-he has 28 days to Appeal, but I doubt very much he will want it back or even allowed it tbh.
But I doubt he does Community Service-just will reoffend, he should just be jailed for all of that aswell as they Dog-I doubt he pays towards the Vet Bills of the Dogs his Dogs attacked-even the One that had its Ear hanging off.
Tax Payers pay a fortune to keep them at HMP so maybe not.

How did he get away with stealing all that without being noticed ? Takes a lot of time stuffing it all in the bag or down his trousers unless it was done on different visits
