Can you help identify dog found on beach at water’s edge

The dog found on the beach at Roedean at the water's edge prompting a land and sea search for the owner

Police are trying to identify a dog found at the water’s edge on the beach yesterday (Wednesday 28 January).

Sussex Police said this morning: “Police are working to identify the owner of this dog, believed to be a labrador, following his discovery on the Roedean undercliff.

“On Wednesday 28 January at around 3pm, officers responded to a report that a dog had been found alone at the water’s edge.

“A sea and land search was conducted, as well as microchip inquiries completed.

“However, at this time an owner has not been identified.

“Are you missing your dog or do you know someone who is?

“Any information can be reported to police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 838 of 28/01.”

What an odd picture to release. 4/5ths of a dog.

Abandoned no doubt, a pet is for life, if they find they can’t afford vet fees, take them to a rescue centre, where they will find a decent home. Strange how the owner has not come forward 🤔
