Brighton Police has warned people to beware fraudulent parking tickets which have been put on cars in Woodingdean.
People in other areas of the city have also said they have been given the notices in social media posts.
A police spokesman said: “Two incidents have been identified after properties in Crescent Drive North were sent penalty letters, charging £150 for parking on ‘Land at Devonshire Place’.
“In both instances, the One Car Parks fines were found to be fraudulent.”
If anyone is given a ticket, they should report it online or call 101 quoting reference 1189 of 17/02.
