A drug dealer caught in the act by police on patrol has been jailed for selling a “pick and mix” of ketamine, cocaine and cannabis.
Hamza Adanir was spotted by officers being flagged down by a member of the public in Sillwood Street, Brighton in February.
Adanir and his customer were then seen entering a property together. Within 10 seconds, Adanir reemerged from the property entrance.
With strong suspicions a drugs deal had just taken place, officers exited their car and detained the suspect to be searched.
In a statement, Sussex Police said: “The man, identified as Hamza Adanir, 26, of The Green, Ealing, was found to have a pick and mix of drugs in his possession.
“Ketamine, cocaine, cannabis, and cash were seized. Subsequently Adanir was arrested and taken to custody.”
On 24 February, Adanir appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court, charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, and two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
At court he pleaded guilty to the offences and was remanded ahead of his sentencing.
On 24 March, Adanir appeared at Lewes Crown Court and was jailed for 18 months.
