Wanted Brighton man turns himself in

Steve Reed

A Brighton man who was wanted on recall to prison has handed himself in, Sussex Police said.

The force said: “Wanted Steve Reed has handed himself in and been arrested.

“The 46-year-old from Brighton was wanted on recall to prison.”

Last month, police appealed to the public for help tracking down Reed, of Manor Green, Brighton, who also has links to Seaford.

Reed, formerly of William Collier House, in North Road, and Grand Parade, both in Brighton, has previous convictions for drugs offences and criminal damage.

Is this Guy Debbie Saunders Boyfriend.
She lives at Manor Green, guessing he is with her ( or was with her)
People that live in those Hostels in Town aren’t really given Property are they by the Council, expect them to stay in Studio Flats and be a nuisance.
Good that he has handed himself in.

Ah yes, classic. Blame the entire hostel population and assume anyone with a past must be shacked up in a studio flat causing chaos. Brighton YMCA and said council of course, only exists to hand out flats like party favours, right? Actually, they do “stellar” work – they try to support people teetering on the edge of survival, with just enough underfunding and bureaucracy to make sure only the truly desperate stick around.

Let’s not forget how the council and support teams “heroically” keep trying their best despite being knee-deep in rising homelessness, stretched services, and the not-so-small issue of rampant abuse, addiction, and mental health crisis in the city. Still, some people do slip through the cracks – or rather, get shoved through them.

But cheers to you for cracking the case from your armchair. Sherlock would be proud.
