Brighton and Hove Albion will be without full-back Joel Veltman for the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday (5 October).
The reliable defender, who has featured on both flanks this season, came off with a calf problem in the second half of the Seagulls’ win over Chelsea last time out.
Albion boss Fabian Hürzeler said that the 33-year-old Netherlands international had already been ruled out of the clash at Molineux.
Hürzeler said: “Joel had a small issue against Chelsea so he won’t be available but he will be back after the international break.
“He received a hit, a knock in training before the game against Chelsea. He felt it in the first half. He was able to continue and then we had a scan and it showed the small issue.”
Mats Wiefer, who replaced Veltman from the bench at Stamford Bridge, is the favourite to fill in.
Hürzeler was more hopeful over Kaoru Mitoma and will give the winger more time to prove his fitness.
The German coach said: “We have to see day by day if he is available or not.
“He received a knock. That is true. But he was able to play against Chelsea so let’s see.”
