Stolen bikes found in Brighton storage container

A haul of stolen bikes, skis and a skateboard were found in a storage container in Brighton Marina.

Officers found the bikes on September 11 after reports of suspicious activity.

Police are now trying to reunite them with their owners.

A spokeswoman said: “A wider investigation remains ongoing, and a suspect has been identified.

“If you recognise any of the bikes, wheels, skis, or the skateboard, or if you have any information that could help us reunite the items, contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 432 of 11/09.”

So get warrants and check them all, or don’t but let it be known warrants are being applied for, stand back and see who turns up

      Sorry, didn’t finish that comment.
It would have been nice if they did get a warrant for the metal container because all those items are mine and I was never contacted and still haven’t. I ring up the police and quote the extension, get told I will be contacted by one of the officers in this case and I haven’t received anything at all. It’s really out of order how they can break the lock on the container I was renting and splash the contents all over the paper! I haven’t a clue what suspicious activity they are going on about because we only recently moved from a lockup to there because of the better security. I was told by the owner of the yard that police were putting all my belongings in a couple of vans. By the way a lot of the frames and parts were donations because I have a hobbie of fixing things, it helps with my adhd. I sell the bikes I put back together to friends. I have bought on line if I’ve seen a bargain that I know I’ll be able to flip. I don’t really make any money, break even mostly after paying for parts and rent. So yes a warrant or being contacted or maybe the police phoning me back when they say they are going to.
