A broken down train is delaying commuters as they head home to Brighton, Hove and Portslade this evening (Friday 20 June).

The train packed up at Lancing, affecting passengers on West Coastway services.

The train company Southern said: “Train services are currently unable to run from Worthing toward Brighton due to a broken down train in the Lancing area.

“Brighton and Hove Buses are accepting rail ticket holders on route 2 between Shoreham and Brighton.

“It is hoped that services will be able to operate normally within the next hour.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience and delay this causes to your journey today.”
