A number of cars were broken into in Brighton late at night.
The vehicles were forced open and searched in Hartington Road at about 11pm on Sunday 19 January.
Detective Constable Paul Candy said: “A number of vehicles were broken into and items were taken from some of them.
“We believe a group of teenagers may have been tampering with the vehicles but we need to speak to people who can identify them.
“We would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard any of the cars being broken into or anything suspicious in the area.”
