The faltering Seagulls failed for to win for the 8th match running and have collected just 3 points out of a possible 21 since beating Charlton in early December.
But just as worrying the Albion, they haven’t scored since Rajiv Van La Parra’s strike against QPR back on December 15th.
Lewis Dunk so often at fault recently was culpable again, as his half hearted clearance allowed Danny Ward to put the Millers in front, just a minute before half time .
Albion did show some promise in the first half,with new signing Anthony Knockaert creating chances for Tomer Hemed and James Wilson.
Matt Derbyshire, who Albion were rumoured to be interested in signing, caused the visitors some problems prior to the goal . But Albion failed to muster a single shot on target before half time.
Chris Hughton introduced Bobby Zamora and later on Kazenga Lua Lua in the second half . Zamora had a few chances – a couple close headers as Albion piled the pressure on . But the born again hero couldn’t convert .
With five minutes left and almost out of nothing Rotherham scored again. Albion were too casual in clearing their lines, Bruno somehow skewed a header from the edge of his own area backwards and straight into Derbyshire’s path. The striker made no mistake as he doubled the Millers lead.

The Seagulls drop to 5th and the gap to the teams outside the playoffs in now just two points.
Albion take on Blackburn at Ewood Park this Saturday.
