Boy dies in fall from bridge at entrance to Brighton Marina

A 15-year-old boy is in a coma in hospital after suffering a serious head injury when he fell from a car park at Brighton Marina.

Sussex Police said that they were not treating the boy’s fall as suspicious.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “We responded with a car and ambulance to a 15-year-old male faller on Tuesday evening (28 March) at 5.29pm. The air ambulance also responded.

“The patient was taken by ambulance supported by the HEMs (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) doctor to St George’s Hospital in London with head and leg injuries for further treatment.”

Sussex Police said: “At 5.45pm on Tuesday (28 March) emergency services were called to the Brighton Marina Village after a 15-year-old local boy had fallen two storeys from a car park to the ground.

“He was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital in south London to be treated for a serious head injury.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”

Earlier today (Friday 31 March) his condition was described as still serious.

Unfortunately this was waiting to happen as kids are often fooling around and “free runnning” / parcours all over the marina area. Hope he makes a speedy recovery

I don’t really know him,but I’ve seen him loads of times ? He’s in a better place we’re if he had recovered he’d have to stay in hospital for the rest of his life ? Another heart was broken,to show god only takes the best ? Fly high Jordan ✨he wouldn’t Remember anyone and people would feel more upset seeing him like that at lest he’s now left to rest without any troubles? All respect to his friends and family ?
