Detectives are investigating an arson attack on a family house in Hove.
The attack at a house in Nizells Avenue, Hove, happened at around 6pm yesterday (Thursday 10 December).
A mother, 39, and her three children returned home with her three children to find the upstairs of the property on fire.
The road was closed for several hours while firefighters from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service put out the blaze.
Detective Sergeant Stephen French said: “Sussex Police are currently investigating several lines of inquiry.
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the fire.”
