Hove’s Beach Hut Advent Calendar returns for a sixth year tomorrow evening (Sunday 1 December).

Each night in December a different beach hut will open up to reveal a festive scene.

The Beach Hut Advent Calendar is a community art celebration of advent.

The giant seafront advent calendar runs from 5.30pm to 6.30pm each night.

There will be mince pies and a warm drink and a chance to collect stamps at each hut to be entered into a prize draw on Christmas Eve.

The first door to be opened is hut 395 tomorrow.

The schedule for the rest of the month is online at www.beyondchurch.co.uk.

I think this is a wonderful idea, and offer congratulations to the artists involved. As a future resident (if all goes to plan) I look forward to seeing this again next year.

I too am inspired by Brighton and it’s unique surroundings. My book ‘Stones’ is set there. If you would be interested, here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/o3tyvgc
It is aimed at the older end of Young Adult, but adults too, enjoy it. I’m glad to be part of the scene.
