Travellers move onto Lawn Memorial Park and Black Rock

Travellers have this morning moved onto Woodingdean’s Lawn Memorial Park and Black Rock in Brighton.

Brighton and Hove City Council says on its traveller webpage that it is visiting the sites this morning to decide what course of action to take.

Simon Kirby, Member of Parliament for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has called for action to move on the travellers at Woodingdean.

He said: “I have received multiple representations from constituents, informing me about this unauthorised encampment, and I have immediately raised this matter and called for immediate action.

“This is not an appropriate site for an encampment. It is particularly sensitive given the proximity to the cemetery. An encampment at this location shows complete disrespect for those who have family members buried there.”

The MP is currently running a petition on the issue of unauthorised traveller encampments, which has already been signed by over 1,500 people.

Just to make it clear for those who don’t know Woodingdean – Lawn Memorial is not a park as such, it is a piece of grass which is effectively part of the cemetery. These travellers have no shame! Do you want to be someone grieving and be met with travellers at the cemetery?!

And the incompetent, incapable ‘snot’ Green Council allows this to happen; let us not forget that ‘5 Homes’ Lucas has previously boasted that Brighton Council is (quote) “The most Traveller-friendly Council in the UK” (unquote).

Not long until we can rid ourselves of these Marxist Green clowns…
