Woman airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious injury road traffic collision in Saddlescombe Road between Brighton and Poynings on Saturday (4 October).
A red Toyota Yaris and a green Jaguar XF were involved. The Toyota driver, a 37-year-old woman from Henfield, suffered serious head injuries and was flown to St George’s Hospital, in Tooting, London, by Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. She remains in a critical condition.
The Jaguar was driven by a 52-year-old man from Milton Keynes, who was accompanied by his wife, 50, and son, 24. The woman suffered chest injuries and the two men slight injuries. They were treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The crash occurred at about 3.20pm. Anyone who saw what happened is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
