Can you help police identify the woman suspected of stealing a Brighton pensioner’s handbag?
Sussex Police published a CCTV image of the suspect today (Wednesday 14 January).
The force said that the theft happened as the 81-year-old woman was walking to a bus stop in Moulsecoomb Way, in Moulsecoomb, at about 11.45am on Tuesday 2 December.
A younger woman approached her and helped her walk to the stop and on to the bus.
But when the pensioner arrived in town she realised that she no longer had her bag which had money and personal items in it.
PC James Huntley said: “We would like to speak to the pictured woman about the incident. If you know who she is, or if you have any other information, please contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
