A man has been charged with raping a Brighton woman after forcing his way into her home last weekend.
Sussex Police said today: “A 30-year-old London man has been charged with the rape of a woman in a Brighton flat.
“Adil Abdullah, of Gladstone Avenue, London, N22, appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in north London on Thursday (27 August).
“He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed.
“At 8am on Monday (24 August) police had received a report that at about 10.30pm on the previous evening (Sunday 23 August) a man had forced his way into a flat in Upper Park Place, Brighton, and raped the 38-year-old.”
