Sussex Police must wait to learn whether detectives will be allowed to see evidence gather by investigators after the Shoreham air crash.
The force applied to the High Court for access to the information gathered by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch after the crash at the air show last August.
The law protects material and records gathered by the civil investigators even though 11 men died in the crash when a Hawker Hunter came down on the A27.
The case was made before two judges, the Lord Chief Justice Lord Thomas and Mr Justice Singh, in the High Court on Thursday (14 July) and yesterday (Friday 15 July). But the pair have reserved judgment, meaning detectives must wait a little longer.
The pilot Andrew Hill, 52, survived the crash but is under investigation by Sussex Police, with detectives looking into whether there is a case for manslaughter by gross negligence.
