Three held after drugs raid in Portslade

Three people have been arrested after Sussex Police officers carried out a drugs raid at an address in Wickhurst Road, Portslade, this morning (Thursday 16 March).

Officers executed a warrant at about 7.40am and seized four bags of cannabis. They also found what they described as a number of items of drugs paraphernalia.

Two women and a man were arrested during the raid. They were

  • A 43-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled class B drug and having a class A drug.
  • A 49-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled class B drug.
  • A 25-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty and producing a controlled class B drug.
  • The three people remain in custody, Sussex Police said, while inquiries continue.
