Police ‘extremely concerned’ for missing Brighton doctor

UPDATE: Lauren Young has been found.

Officers from Sussex Police are searching for a missing Brighton doctor and have issued a public appeal for help finding her.

The force said: “Police are extremely concerned for Lauren Young who has gone missing from Brighton.

“The 32-year-old was last seen at Brighton General Hospital in Elm Grove at 12.25pm on Thursday (6 July).”

PC Charlotte Morriss said: “We are worried about Lauren as she has been suffering with mental health problems.

“She has left her mobile phone at her home and her family are very concerned.

“If anyone sees Lauren please ring us on 999.”

Dr Young is white, 5ft 6in and has light brown shoulder-length hair.

She was wearing a pink t-shirt and brown knee-length shorts.

Sussex Police said: “If you see Lauren, phone police on 999 or if you have any information about her whereabouts, contact online quoting serial 606 of 06/07.”
