Why do the police always take so long to ask for the public’s help? It’s the same when there’s a robbery, rape, violent assault or murder. A neighbour in the police told me they think the ‘fear of crime’ will be an issue if they tell us what’s happening more often. My fear of crime is exacerbated by the well-founded belief that there’s a lot we’re not being told by people who should be trusted public servants.
